Best burger (Jamie Oliver inspired)

  • Some broken cream crackers (to be smashed)
  • Parsley (as much as you like)
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 2 tablespoons mustard (the more spicy, the better)
  • 1 large egg
  • Sliced melting cheese (of your choice)
  • Toppings (mustard, mayonaise, pickles, tomato, lettuce… your choice!)
  1. Smash  the crackers until fine and breaking any big bits into a large bowl.
  2. Chop the parsley (no stalks), add to the bowl with the mustard and the minced beef.
  3. Add the egg and a good pinch of salt and black pepper.
  4. Mix everything up well. Divide into 6 balls and flatten them in a roundish shape (2cm).
  5. Place in the fridge if needed (optional).
  6. Preheat a large frying pan on a high heat and then turn the heat down to medium.
  7. Cook the burgers on each side until blackish.
  8. Add folded slices of cheese (size of the burger) and cover the pan with a lid. Wait until melted.
  9. Prepare your bread and add the toppings (mustard, mayonaise, pickles, tomato, lettuce… your choice!). Add the burger with the melted cheese and enjoy!
